Le Golf de Cornouaille : 18-hole -
Golf in Cornouaille
The region is ideally suited for this sport. In spring 1987, the Chamber of Commerce of Quimper opened a 300-acre tourist complex comprising an 18-hole golf course, a shorter course and a practice area.
Another 9 holes are planned along with several tennis courts and other sporting facilities. A hotel, 240 flalets and 62 villas, all within easy reach of Quimper, Bénodet, Fouesnant and Concarneau will make the Golf de l'Odet a major tourist attraction.
The Golf de l'Odet is a public golf course, open to all.

Walking around Cornouaille
Whether it be marked-out walks, smuggler's paths or country tracks, Cornouaille offers the walker an incomparable variety of possibilities. As you walk along, the whole history of the region streches out before your eyes. There are plenty of well marked paths (the Tourist Office (OT) will give you further information).
Quimper, Pouldreuzic, Fouesnant, Douarnenez, Pont-Aven, Moëlan, Névez and Riec-sur-Bélon have published a particularly good guide book. The Comité Départemental du Tourisme (CDT) has produced a document about every kind of walk and the Groupement Touristique de Cornouaille (GTC) has a free brochure : "Par les chemins de traverse".

FISHING PORTS IN CORNOUAILLE
Fishing in Cornouaille is an economic resource of prime importance and a varied industry which has engendered a whole range of associated ventures : processing, freight haulage, canning, shipbuilding and repair, which have shaped the landscape, moulded the inhabitants and forged this area's characteristic image. There is so much for the visitor to discover : the origins of the fishing industry, the organisation of its work, the fish auction, distribution chains and the different types of boats designed for various kinds of fishing.
Come and see our fishing ports, await the return of coastal fishing smacks and deepwater trawlers, experience a fish auction, learn to recognise the many types of fish, crabs and shellfish freshly landed on the wharves. Cornouaille Chamber of Commerce and Industry, assisted by the tourist information offices, organises guided visits of the main ports of South FinistËre and edits a well-documented brochure which is obtainable upon request at the price of 40 francs.
