The coffee-soup of Uncle Jean

version française

Recipe given by Eric Pouliquen, available in your usual theater salon. Or move from theater salon.

Ingredients: Coffee, chicory, bread, cognac (brandy).
Warm the water, fill the Melita filter half with coffee, half with chicory. Pour the boiling water and make boil. Follow the dictum : "Boiled coffee , coffee not bloody", pour the coffee in a 1/2 litter bowl. Add two fingers height of brandy (two if those are farmer fingers, four if those are parisian fingers). Add at last two slides of farmhouse bread, it is ready, taste and enjoy !

The trick from Uncle Jean : use old bread because once put in the coffee, no ones know that it is old.
